Work Environment - Food Hygiene Course
Advanced Food Hygiene Course 

If you are a proprietor or a manager of a food business do you fully understand the possible effects that food poisoning outbreaks can have on your business? How do bacteria multiply and grow in food? More importantly how do you prevent poisoning from occurring? What do they mean by Hazard Analysis?

For answers to these questions and much more, Knowsley and St. Helens Metropolitan Borough Councils can offer you a nationally certified training course at advanced level. The course is regularly held at our training suite in Prescot, Merseyside, offered over 8 weeks on one full day per week. Topics covered are:

  • Importance of Food Hygiene

  • Bacteriology

  • Food Storage/ Temperature Control

  • Management Control Techniques

  • Hazard Analysis

  • Education & Training of Food Handlers

  • Food Preservation

  • Food Poisoning & Food Contamination

  • Cleaning Science & Disinfection

  • Pest Control

  • Design and construction of Food Premises

  • Legislation

  • Practical Visit

Your commitment will be to attend the course, produce two work related assignments and undertake a two and a half hour written examination. Our commitment to you will be to offer you first class tuition by Environmental Health Practitioners with specialist knowledge in Food Safety and a successful course "track record" that is second to none.
