Knowsley Council run a range of health and safety training courses to suit you and your organisation. Please see details below.

Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Basic Health & Safety Certificate.

6 hours tuition + examination.

This course aims to provide an introduction to health and safety issues.

6 hours tuition with optional examination.

Covers the same areas as the CIEH course.

Duration varies according to the demands of the individual. These modules can be added to both the Knowsley and CIEH Basic Health and Safety Courses and are designed to give an insight into specific hazards which may be encountered in certain workplaces, Warehousing, Hotels/Public houses, Residential Care and Nursing homes.

Where more in depth training in specific areas of health and safety is required, then these modules could be the answer. Modules include safety management, occupational health, mechanical handling, electricity at work, risk assessment, manual handling, machine safety and COSHH. This list is not exhaustive and consideration will be given to other topics in accordance with demand.

10 days tuition, course/project work, examination. This course provides an in depth look at the subject of occupational safety & health and is aimed at managers and supervisors who already have a basic knowledge of health & safety.
