If you are an employee wanting help in writing a CV, then there are specialist advisers within Greater Mersey Jobcentre Plus District who can help prospective employees complete CVs, including special training provided by partners within the area.

The Connexions team provide CV Writing support for young people aged 13 – 19. All offices have facilities which enable visitors to use computer packages, such as Microsoft Word/or CV packages to produce their CV. The centres also have a number of personal advisers on hand to offer advice and further support.

The team also offer CV guidance and information packs to adults over 20. Those who have qualifications below NVQ2 are also able to arrange appointments with a personal adviser and can have a CV created for them free of charge.

Jobcentre Plus in Knowsley holds contracts with five Providers who support our work by providing training and jobs for our harder to help groups within the District. Training in the main is linked to the local market whilst being mindful that many of our initiatives are client-led. This also means that there is a need to hold a variety of occupational areas to maintain the flexibilities required for them.

Advisers and External Partners/Employers are also able to work with the Contracting Team in Knowlsey to identify training needs not currently catered for. Whilst aware of the requirement for this bespoke training to lead into employment, we are able to ensure that we can create specific courses for individual clients and employers within the District with our external partners.
