Tourism

From the big game of Knowsley Safari Park in the grounds of Lord Derby's Estate, to the less ferocious farmyard animals at Acorn Venture Urban Farm; Prescot’s award-winning Museum of Clock and Watchmaking and the National Wildflower Centre; Knowsley is a vibrant and unique borough offering exciting places for the whole family to visit.

Our year-long programme of events and festivals include the Knowlsey Flower Show in the grounds of Court Hey Park, and the Liverpool-Knowsley International Youth Soccer Tournament; whilst Knowlsey Hall & Estate provide a unique conference and entertainment venue within the grounds of Lord Derby's Estate.

Tourism is a £1billion business in Merseyside, and with Liverpool as European Capital of Culture in 2008, our leisure and tourism sector is set to undergo a further period of growth.

Knowsley’s attractions, hotels, leisure amenities and green space draw over 1 million visitors to the borough year year, contributing £75 million to our local economy. The famous Knowsley Safari Park and the Knowsley Hall estate attract over 450,000 visitors annually, making it one of the Northwest’s most important attractions.
