Public Purchasing - How to Tender Guide
12. Evaluation of Tenders

The award criteria used for assessing bids is detailed in the tender documents.

Tenders should be assessed on the value for money that is offered to the Authority – this is, the optimum balance of whole life costs and benefits that meets the customer’s requirements.

Suppliers should be aware of the importance of complying with the instructions included in the tender. There may be a need to fill in questions or provide further information, i.e. contact names and addresses for references, proof of quality accreditation, proof of economic and financial standing, policies on Health & Safety/Diversity/Sustainability etc. If information is requested then it is required for the evaluation stage of the tender.
